At Gibbs Elementary, we're committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment for every student.

Our staff

• All of our teachers are trained in the science of reading and research-based reading strategies and instruction.

• We have access to a full-time Community-Based Mental Health Practitioner for families and students if needed.

• We have a Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS) to promote positive communication, collaboration, and social skills for students

Student Learning

• We utilize a comprehensive K-12 career planning program for each student called Xello that connects interests and academic strengths to career awareness and skills development.

• Students participate in daily specialist courses in art, music, physical education, and media.

• We have a School-wide Deeper Learning Program to connect students' academic skills and strengths to real-world applications.

• We have a Minnesota Reading and Math Corp intervention program.

Student opportunities

• Students can join the student council and safety patrol for leadership opportunities.

• We have a Gibbs Gallopers after-school fitness program.
