Welcome to Gibbs Elementary, a vibrant neighborhood school where every student is inspired to reach their full potential. We are proudly named for George W. Gibbs Jr., a Rochester civil rights leader and the first African American to explore Antarctica. His legacy of courage, curiosity, and service is the heart of our school. We are the Gibbs Penguins, and we challenge our students to be brave explorers and kind leaders, just like him!
